Wildcats Fall to BU, 3-0

BOSTON – Patrick Curry scored two goals for Boston University on Saturday evening as the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team fell to BU, 3-0 at Agganis Arena.
The Wildcats fall to 2-2-1 (1-1-0 HEA) on the season, while BU improves to 2-1-2 (1-0-1 HEA).
UP NEXT: The Wildcats open the home season at the Whittemore Center on Friday, November 1 when they take on No. 10 Boston College at 7 p.m. on NESN. The first of a six-set trading card series will be given away at the game and the UNH Marching Band will perform on the ice. Then the Wildcats will host Dartmouth in a Granite State showdown on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- At 5:45 of the first period, Alex Vlasic fired a one-timer from the blue line that was tipped in the slot by Patrick Curry to give BU a 1-0 lead
- In the first period, BU outshot UNH 13-7, while each team went 0-1 on the power-play.
- At 8:26 of the second period, Robert Mastrosimone stole the puck in the slot and wristed a quick shot that beat Mike Robinson (Bedford, N.H.) on the blocker side to extend the BU lead.
- UNH outshot BU 11-8 in the second period, while UNH went 0-1 on the only man advantage of the period.
- With 1:50 remaining in the third period, Curry tallied an empty net goal to secure the 3-0 victory for Boston University.
- UNH outshot BU 14-4 in the third period.
