Colacci's Goal Lifts 'Cats to 1-0 Win at UMBC

UNH Extends Winning Streak to Seven and Unbeaten Streak to 11
BALTIMORE, Md. – Senior Antonio Colacci scored the game-winning goal in the second half as the No. 13 University of New Hampshire men's soccer team defeated UMBC, 1-0, in America East action at Retriever Soccer Park on Saturday evening.
The Wildcats remain undefeated on the season, improving to 9-0-2 overall and 3-0-0 in America East, tying their best winning percentage (.909) to start a season ever with the 1993 team which was 10-1-0. The Retrievers fall to 4-6-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- UMBC took the first shot on goal of the game when graduate student Alejandro Robles (Monterey, Mexico) made a save on an attempt by Ryan Becher in the seventh minute.
- Graduate student Fabian Lutz (Bad Gröenenbach, Germany) sent a shot on goal in the 20th minute but UMBC goalkeeper Quantrell Jones was able to keep the ball out of the net.
- After the first half, UNH outshot UMBC, 3-2, while the Retrievers took two shots on goal and the Wildcats posted one.
- Colacci then scored the game winner in the 48th minute (47:33) off passes from senior Jack Doherty (Meriden, N.H.) and freshman Bilal Kamal (London, England).
- The Wildcat defense was able to keep the Retrievers off the scoreboard to secure the win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The last time UNH won at UMBC was a 2-0 win on Oct. 10, 2009.
- UNH outshot UMBC, 11-5, while the Wildcats posted five shots on goal and the Retrievers tallied three.
