'Cats Fall at Hartford, Face Albany at Home Saturday

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - Senior forward Olivia Healy (Reading, Mass.) scored 15 points and had nine rebounds and senior center Carlie Pogue (Cincinnati, Ohio) had 13 points and eight rebounds, but the University of New Hampshire women's basketball dropped an 85-49 decision to the University of Hartford on Wednesday night at Chase Arena.
UNH is now 14-8 overall and 5-4 in America East. Hartford is also 14-8 overall and improves to 6-3 in the league.
Senior forward Kat Fogarty (Westminster, Mass.) joined Healy and Pogue in double figures with 12 points.
The Wildcats never led in the game and were down 42-21 at halftime.
NEXT UP
The Wildcats return home for their next two games.
They play league-leading Albany on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Lundholm Gymnasium and then face Vermont on Monday at 7 p.m. in a quick turnaround.

HIGHLIGHTS
The Wildcats had a rough night from the start but were still battling at the end.
Healy just missed a double-double. She's had three of the team's four double-doubles this season and had her third in UNH's most recent game last Saturday. Healy has also taken over the team lead in rebounding and was averaging 6.4 rebounds a game coming into the contest.
Hartford and UNH came into the game tied for third place in the league standings with Binghamton. Binghamton beat Vermont on Wednesday night and moved to 6-3 to stay tied for third with Hartford.
The Wildcats are right behind Hartford and Binghamton in fifth place.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Hartford had a 20-15 lead after the first period and opened the second with a 12-0 run. The Hawks pushed the lead out to 42-21 at the half.
Pogue had 11 points and six rebounds at the halftime break. The Wildcats had 11 turnovers in the first period and eight in the second.
Hartford had a 23-9 edge in the third period. UNH had its best period in the fourth and was outscored 20-19.
