Knight, O'Connor Combine for 3 TDs to Lead 'Cats Past Bryant

DURHAM, N.H. – Junior quarterback Trevor Knight (Amherst, N.H.) and junior receiver Neil O'Connor (Leominster, Mass.) teamed up to lead No. 14 New Hampshire to a 45-17 triumph over Bryant University Saturday night in Wildcat Stadium.
Knight completed 17 of his 29 passes for 318 yards and three touchdowns. O'Connor caught all three of the scoring passes, two of them in the fourth quarter. The TDs covered 52, 19 and 22 yards.
The three scoring catches were a career-high for O'Connor. He finished with seven catches for 154 yards. Knight has passed for three touchdowns in each of the last three games.
Sophomore running back Evan Gray (Centreville, Va.) rushed 11 times for a career-high 98 yards and scored a career-high two TDs.
The Wildcat defense opened the game's scoring when sophomore safety Rick Ellison (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) intercepted a Price Wilson pass and returned it 50 yards for a score just 1:52 into the game.
The defense shut out Bryant in the second half. The Bulldogs came in averaging 32.3 points a game.
UNH improved its record to 4-1 and is off next Saturday. Bryant falls to 2-3.
COMING UP
- The Wildcats have a bye week next Saturday, Oct.
- They return to action with a game at Stony Brook on Oct. 14 at 6 p.m.
- Stony Brook improved to 4-1 overall and 3-0 in the Colonial Athletic Association with a 21-18 win over William & Mary Saturday night.

1st QUARTER
- UNH jumped out in front 17-0 in the period.
- Ellison opened the scoring with a 50-yard interception return for a TD 1:52 into the game.

- Senior Morgan Ellman (Scotch Plains, N.J.) kicked a 30-yard field goal with 6:33 left in the period.
- Gray scored on a 31-yard run with 3:31 left in the period. Pedinoff added the conversion.
2ND QUARTER
- A Gavin Rowley 33-yard field goal and Tom Kennedy 5-yard run with 10:01 left in the period cut UNH's lead to 17-10.
- Gray scored on a 1-yard run with 7:18 to play. Ellman kicked the conversion.
- Knight connected with junior O'Connor for a 52-yard TD pass with 5:44 left. Pedinoff kicked the conversion.
- Bryant answered with a Wilson to Aaron Aryee 13-yard TD pass.
- UNH had 264 yards of offense in the half. Bryant had 267.
3RD QUARTER
- There was no scoring in the third quarter.
- Each team had 352 yards of offense when the period ended.
- UNH had its yardage in 44 plays and Bryant in 65.
4TH QUARTER
- A Knight to O'Connor 19-yard TD pass upped the lead to 38-17 with 13:37 left in the period. Pedinoff kicked the conversion.
- Knight and O'Connor teamed for another TD, this one for 22 yards, with 3:52 to play and Ellman's conversion kick made it 45-17.
'CAT NIPS
- Senior safety D'Andre Drummond-Mayrie (Lawrence, Mass.) led UNH with 12 tackles.
- He also had one of three quarterback sacks.
- Sophomore linebacker Quinlen Dean (Greenbelt, Md.) had 11 tackles.
