Rosinski’s Career-High 12 Points Not Enough at Top-Seeded Vermont

BURLINGTON, Vt. – Freshman Luke Rosinski (Derry, N.H.) scored a career-high 12 points as the University of New Hampshire men's basketball team fell to top-seeded University of Vermont, 74-41, Monday night at Patrick Gym.

HIGHLIGHTS
Vermont shot 56.3 percent from the field and held UNH to 14 of 50 shooting.
Rosinski and freshman John Ogwuche (Makurdi, Nigeria) played good minutes and combined for 16 points.
The Wildcats were on a 6-game winning streak heading into the games.
New Hampshire shot 12 of 14 from the free-throw line.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Wildcats struggled to put the ball in the basket in the first half shooting 24 percent (6 of 25) in the frame. The scoring was all knotted up at 4 apiece before Vermont rattled off eight straight points to lead by the 11:21 mark. New Hampshire cracked double-digits at seven minutes on the clock on a Smith drive and finish. The senior's bucket started a 6-point run, capped off by a Rosinski dunk with 5:05 to go. Vermont gained control in the final minutes, pushing its lead to as much as 19 points. The Wildcats went to the locker room with a 37-20 deficit. America East Rookie of the Year Anthony Lamb finished the first half with 16 points on 6 of 9 shooting.
The second half was all Vermont with them increasing their lead to as much as 36 points by the final 1:35. UNH shot 8 of 25 from the field in the second frame and made all four free-throw attempts.
