Volleyball Concludes Beantown Challenge at Boston College Tonight

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire volleyball team is set for its second tournament of the season at the Beantown Challenge against Siena College (Sept. 2; 1 PM) and Boston College (Sept. 3; 7:30 PM) this weekend.
Match Info – Friday, Sept. 2 (1 PM)
The Wildcats toppled Siena, 3-2 (25-16, 21-15, 18-25, 25-16, 15-13), led by freshman Emily Tanski's (Plymouth, Mich.) double-double with 15 kills and 14 digs. The Wildcats rallied from a 2-1 deficit to earn the victory.

The Wildcats record fell to 1-3 on the early season when they lost in three sets (25-19, 25-13, 25-23) to Fresno State University in their home opener on August 29. Junior outside hitter Courtney Bowman (Chagrin Falls, Ohio) recorded a near double-double with nine kills and nine digs. Junior middle blocker Molly Wotton (Dover, N.H) recorded nine kills and two digs while senior setter Keelin Severtson (Delray Beach, Fla.) finished with 27 assists.

The Eagles are off to a strong 2-1 start this season led by outside hitter, Jill Strockis who leads the team in kills with 24. Setter Camille Oemcke has accumulated 59 assists while Madisen Lydon has recorded four services aces. Head Coach Chris Campbell enters his sixth season as coach of Boston College. The Wildcats hold a 24-8 advantage when facing the Eagles.
