Severtson Leads Volleyball to Split on Final Day of Kristen Dickmann Invite

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Senior setter Keelin Severtson (Delray Beach, Fla.) recorded 67 assists through two games on the final day of the Kristen Dickmann Invitational as the Wildcats split the two games Saturday afternoon.
All-Tournament Team
Severtson placed herself on the All-Tournament team with a total of 100 assists and four service aces on the weekend.
Coppin State
-1st set-
Coppin State led early in the set until UNH claimed its first lead on a Tanski kill to take an 8-7 lead. The Wildcats led until Coppin State retook the lead 14-13 on a UNH attack error. Both teams traded points until UNH rattled off five straight points to take a 23-19 lead and secure the set, 25-21.
-2nd set-
The game was back and forth until UNH stretched the lead to 13-9 on back-to-back kills by Wotton. The Wildcats took a 2-0 set lead on 18 kills to the Bald Eagles' 13.
-3rd set-
The Wildcats rushed out to a 7-3 lead capped off by two Tanski kills to take over the final set. The Wildcats out-killed the Bald Eagles 12-4 in the final round including two service aces. UNH swept Coppin State with a 25-12 final set score.
Delaware
UNH led the match with seven service aces, three by Severtson. Bowman paced both teams with nine kills.
-1st set-
New Hampshire led early in the set, 7-6, before Delaware rattled off four straight points to take a 10-7 lead and held onto it for the remainder of the contest. Tanski finished the set with three kills. Severtson recorded 11 assists in the set alone. Delaware took a 25-19 set win into the second set.
-2nd set-
The Wildcats took a 5-1 lead early in the second set led by Tanski's two aces for points three and four. The Blue Hens responded with five points of their own before an attack error by Bailey Pearlman of Delaware knotted it up at seven. UNH was down 21-17 late before the Blue Hens' Autumn Jenkins had a service error followed by a ball handling error by Julia Anderson. UNH's Bowman earned a kill from a Carlson set and Wotton recorded an ace on a serve to tie it up, 21-21. Delaware responded with four straight points to finish off the set 25-21 and a two set lead.
-3rd set-
Delware finished off the match with an 11-5 run to take a 25-19 set victory and the match in three sets.
