Jessica Harper, women's swim and dive
    Jessica, a sophomore from Easthampton, Mass., won three individual events and was part of two winning relay teams to help the UNH women's swim and dive team to a second-place finish at the 2016 America East Championships, which were held Feb. 11-14 at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
     Jessica capped the four-day meet by swimming the second leg on the winning 400-yard freestyle relay squad. Earlier that day, she pulled away from the field in the 1,650 free with an America East conference and America East Championships record time of 16 minutes, 33.54 seconds.
    On Saturday, Jessica took gold in the 100 butterfly with an ECAC-A qualifying time of 55.85 seconds. Also in the third day of competition, she was part of the 400 medley relay that touched the wall with an ECAC-A qualifying mark of 3:47.94.
    Jessica started Friday's event finals by breaking the conference and Championships records in the 500 free with a winning time of 4:48.29 that bested the benchmark previously established in 2009. She also was part of Friday's 200 free relay that turned in an ECAC-A qualifying, second-place time of 1:34.21.
    On Thursday's abbreviated schedule, Jessica was part of the conference and pool record performance in the 800 free relay that finished the event with an ECAC-A qualifying time of 7:16.14.

Ronnel Jordan, men's basketball
    Ronnel, a senior from San Antonio, Texas, recorded his first career double-double (25 points, 11 rebounds) to lead the UNH men's basketball team to an 88-75 victory against Maine on Feb. 8. He made 9 of 14 field goals, including 2-for-5 from 3-point range, and all five free throw attempts.
    The 6-foot-3 guard scored 12 points, pulled down seven rebounds and was also credited with two steals and an assist in the Wildcats' 59-58 loss at Stony Brook University on Feb. 14.
    In three games last week, Ronnel averaged 15.0 ppg and shot 53.6 percent from the floor, including 46.2 percent from beyond the arc. He also averaged 7.0 rebounds per game.
    Through 25 games this season, Ronnel ranks fourth on the team in scoring (9.3 ppg), second in both 3-pointers made (28) and attempted (80), fifth in rebounding (4.1 rpg) and fourth in minutes per game (25.8).
    Ronnel joined the UNH men's team for the 2014-15 season and, in his first year as a Wildcat, averaged 4.9 ppg and 2.3 rpg as well as 14.6 minutes in 30 games.

2016 WOMEN'S FROZEN FOUR COMES TO UNH'S WHITTEMORE CENTER
The NCAA Women's Frozen Four is coming back to Durham! UNH's Whittemore Center was the site of the national championship in 2002 and 2005 and it will be again in March 2016.
Tickets are on sale now for the NCAA 2016 Women's Frozen Four that will be played at the Whitt on March 18 & 20. The all-session package includes a ticket to both the March 18 semifinal games (single admission; 4/7 pm) and the March 20 championship game (2 pm).
Each all-session chairback seat costs $35. There is also a bench seat option at $25 for adults and $20 for students, seniors and youths. Groups of 20 or more can purchase an all-session package at $15 per seat, regardless of section.

UNH LAUNCHES 2016 FOOTBALL STADIUM TICKET CAMPAIGN
    The UNH department of athletics has launched of a marketing campaign aimed at establishing a priority system for seat selection at the under-construction Wildcat Stadium for the 2016 season.
    The campaign will enable fans to reserve season tickets in the state-of-the-art stadium. For a $25 deposit per seat, fans will receive a seat selection priority number in the order in which their reservation is made. The deposit is completely refundable and nonbinding.
    Current season ticket holders for 2015 football do not need to make a seat deposit at this time; they will be given seat selection priority over the general public. The seat selection process for season ticket holders will be announced at a later date.
    Details of season ticket packages, including amenities and privileges, will be announced this winter, at which time fans can select their ticket package preference. A "Select A Seat" event in which fans pick their actual seat location in the new stadium will be announced at a later time.
 Fans can secure a priority number by clicking HERE or by mailing seat reservation deposits to Whittemore Center Arena Box Office, 128 Main Street, Durham, NH 03824.

MEN'S BASKETBALL (15-10 overall, 8-4 America East)
- The UNH men's basketball team went 2-1 last week with home wins against Maine (88-75; Feb. 8) and Albany (69-68; Feb. 11) and a 59-58 loss at Stony Brook (Feb. 14).
- That win against the Great Danes clinched a home playoff game for the 2016 America East Playoffs; the first round begins Wednesday, March 2 at either 7 or 7:30 p.m.
- Sophomore Tanner Leissner (Converse, Texas) led UNH with 26 points vs. Maine and senior Ronnel Jordan (San Antonio, Texas) recorded his first career double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds.
- UNH shot 51.7 percent from the field against Maine and the Wildcats shot 21 of 24 from the charity stripe.
- In the next game vs. Albany, Leissner scored 20 points and junior Jaleen Smith (Freeport, Texas) tallied 16 as UNH upset Albany at home for its first win in the last five matchups.
- Leissner hit a jumper with 14 seconds to play and drew a foul, hitting the free throw for the lead. Sophomore Iba Camara (Dakar, Senegal) notched 12 points and 14 rebounds for his team-leading sixth double-double.
- Leissner recorded his fourth straight 20-point game with 26 points and nine rebounds against Stony Brook on the road. Smith's layup in the final seconds was blocked.
- UNH overcame a nine-point deficit with 5:41 to play. The Wildcats had won four straight road games entering this contest.
- The UNH men's basketball team returns to action Feb. 17 (7 p.m.) at home against UMass Lowell. The Wildcats conclude the week Feb. 20 (7 p.m.) at the University of Hartford.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL (9-16 overall, 3-9 America East)
- The UNH women's basketball team went 1-2 last week against the top three teams in the America East conference standings. The Wildcats were edged 59-55 at Maine (Feb. 8), then lost at Albany (Feb. 11) before ending the week with a 49-46 win at home against Stony Brook University.
- At Maine, the Wildcats trailed 35-20 at halftime and rallied within 55-53 with 34 seconds left. Elizabeth Belanger (Acton, Mass.) scored 21 points while Aliza Simpson (Londonderry, N.H.) recorded a career-high 11 assists and Carlie Pogue (Cincinnati, Ohio) came off the bench to contribute 12 points and a team-high six rebounds.
- Belanger recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Wildcats past Stony Brook. The senior guard climbed to No. 6 on the program's career scoring list with 1,370; she supplanted Denise Beliveau (2007-12), who finished with 1,365 points.
- Pogue scored 13 points and pulled down eight rebounds.
- The UNH women's basketball team returns to action Feb. 17 (7 p.m.) at UMass Lowell, and the Wildcats end the week Feb. 20 (1 p.m.) at home against Hartford.

- The UNH gymnastics team held its annual Stick It For The Cure meet Feb. 13 and recorded a 194.100–190.425 victory against Southern Connecticut State University at Lundholm Gym. The Wildcats outscored the Owls on each event with a team high of 48.675 on uneven bars.
- New Hampshire recorded the top five scores on bars, top four on vault and top three on floor exercise.
- Meghan Pflieger (Barneveld, N.Y.) won the balance beam (9.875) and floor exercise (9.850), and she tied for second in vault (9.800) Pflieger is ranked 11th in the EAGL conference in beam (9.771) and 15th in all-around (38.469).
- Danielle Doolin (Medford Lakes, N.J.) tied a personal best in both the floor (9.85) and vault (9.800) to tie for first in the former and tie for second in the latter. She won the all-around with a four-event total of 38.825. Doolin ranks 10th in the conference in all-around (38.839) and 12th in floor (9.746).
- The UNH gymnastics team returns to action Feb. 19 (7 p.m.) at George Washington University. The University of North Carolina and College of William & Mary will also be competing at the meet.

- The UNH men's ice hockey team went 0-1-1 in last weekend's two-game home series against the University of Vermont. The Catamounts were 3-2 victors on Feb. 12 and the Wildcats rallied for a 2-2 tie Feb. 13.
- On Friday, junior Tyler Kelleher (Longmeadow, Mass.) became the first junior since 2005-06 to reach the 100-career point milestone and the 73rd player in program history to achieve the feat.
- Saturday's draw was the 1,000th game of Dick Umile's head coaching career. He is just one of 12 coaches in NCAA history to hit that mark.
- The UNH men's hockey team returns to action Feb. 19 at home against Boston University; the game, which will be televised on NESN, begins at 8:30 p.m. UNH and BU face off again Feb. 20 (7 p.m.) at Agganis Arena. - The UNH women's ice hockey team was swept by Boston University in last weekend's home-and-home series. The Terriers prevailed 6-4, including an empty-net goal, on home ice Feb. 13 and then scored two more empty-net goals in the 6-2 win at the Whittemore Center on Feb. 14.
- Cassandra Vilgrain (Calgary, Alberta) scored three goals in the weekend series, and that included matching her career high of two tallies Feb. 13.
- Amy Boucher (Edmonton, Alberta), Jonna Curtis (Elk River, Minn.) and Amy Schlagel (Blaine, Minn.) all finished the weekend with a goal and two assists. Schlagel matched her personal best of two assists Feb. 13.
- Vilma Vaattovaara (Veikkola, Finland) made 17 saves and allowed four goals in her return to the lineup; she had not played since starting Nov. 7 at Providence College.
- Kyra Smith (Littleton, Colo.) started the 21 games between Vaattovaara's starts. In Saturday's game at BU, Smith recorded her sixth 30-plus save effort of the season with 32 stops, including 18 in the third period, which is her highest single-period total of the season.
- The UNH women's ice hockey team concludes the regular season Feb. 26-27 against UConn. Both games begin at 2 p.m. Sunday's Senior Day game will be televised on FOX College Sports. - The UNH women's lacrosse team opened the 2016 season with a 14-8 victory against Hofstra University at Cowell Stadium on Feb. 13.
- The Wildcats got off to a fast start by scoring the first four goals of the game and Hofstra never got closer than three goals the rest of the way.
- Freshman attacker Catherine Sexton (Niskayuna, N.Y.) recorded a team-high four points on two goals and two assists. She opened the game scoring at 3:22 and tallied assists on UNH's fifth and sixth goals.
- Sophomore attacker Krissy Schafer (Longmeadow, Mass.) matched her career high of three goals.
- Seniors Nicole Grote (Ellicott City, Md.) and Laura McHoul (Westwood, Mass.) both finished with two goals and an assist.
- Junior defender Hope Kissick (Cohasset, Mass.) anchored the defensive effort with three ground balls, one caused turnover and one draw control. Amy LeBel (Charlton, N.Y.) was also credited with three GBs.
- Sophomore midfielder Rebecca Sennott (Westford, Mass.) was an all-around contributor with one goal, one assist, one ground ball, two draw controls and one caused turnover.
- McHoul increased her UNH career assist record total to 103 with her one helper.
- The UNH women's lacrosse team returns to action Feb. 20 (3 p.m.) at UMass. The Wildcats' next home game is Feb. 27 (1 p.m.) against UConn.

- The UNH ski team accrued 826 points to earn third place at the Dartmouth Carnival that was held Feb. 12-13. The University of Vermont won the event with a total of 888 points and Dartmouth College was next at 858.
- Lisa Wedsjö (Saltsjöbaden, Sweden) and Randa Teschner (Petawawa, Ontario) finished third and fourth in the women's giant slalom Friday at Dartmouth Skiway.
- Wedsjö, Teschner (Petawawa, Ontario) and Geneviève Frigon (Laval, Quebec) placed third, fourth and sixth, respectively, to spearhead a UNH women's alpine victory in Saturday's slalom.
- Teschner has finished in the Top-10 of all four SL races this season. Her fourth-place finish was a season best. Frigon tied her career best; she also finished sixth in SL at Colby on Jan. 23.
- The combined UNH women's alpine and Nordic teams had the highest score among all schools with 436 points. They were followed by Dartmouth (416) and UVM (393).
- The women's SL victory was UNH's second win of the season; the alpine men took gold in giant slalom at the Colby Carnival on Jan. 22.
- Rivet notched his third Top-5 slalom finish of the season; he previously placed third at Bates (Jan. 16) and at Colby (Jan. 23).
- Â Ogle's ninth-place finish was a season-best in SL.
- Gill earned her third Top-10 result in classic, though this was the first classical race in which she was not the top finisher among Wildcats.
- Larusson's season-high fourth-place finish improves from her seventh-place result in the 15K classic at Colby (Jan. 22).
- Holmes now has three Top-5 results in classic races; he previously finished fifth in the 10K classic at Vermont (Feb. 7) and fourth in the classic sprint at Bates (Jan. 15).
- Wedsjö, who entered the race ranked second in giant slalom among all Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association women's skiers, has finished in the Top-6 in all GS races this season.
- Teschner, who finished a season-best fourth, tallied her third Top-10 GS finish of the season.
- Rivet, who registered the overall second-fastest time (54.93 seconds) down the hill in the first run, notched his third consecutive Top-10 GS finish and was the top Wildcat male for the third straight carnival.
- UNH put three men's alpine racers in the Top-10 for the second time this season. Rivet, Chris Steinke (Ottawa, Ontario) and Cookson attained the feat in the slalom at the Bates Carnival on Jan. 23.
- The UNH ski team returns to action at the Williams Carnival (Feb. 19-20) with alpine races slated for Jiminy Peak and Nordic action set for Prospect Mountain.

- The UNH swimming and diving team finished as runner-up at the 2016 America East Championships that were held Feb. 11-14 at WPI's Sports & Recreation Center.
- Sophomore Jessica Harper (Eastmeadow, Mass.) claimed five gold medal performances, including three individual, and broke three meet/conference records.
- Sophomore Liza Baykova (Moscow, Russia) also claimed four gold medals, four of which were individual.
- Freshman Brittany Driscoll (Wallingford, Conn.) was named the meet's Most Outstanding Rookie.
- Senior Bettina Caspersen (Lyngby, Denmark) was honored with the David Alexander Coaches Award.

- The UNH men's indoor track & field team defeated the University of Maine, 90-75, on Feb. 13. A handful of Wildcats competed at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, which was held Feb. 12-13 at Boston University's Track & Tennis Center.
- At the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, juniors Drew Piazza (Danvers, Mass.) and Christopher Poggi (Dover, N.H.) set school records in the 1,000-meter and 500-meter races, respectively. Piazza won the 1,000m in 2 minutes, 21.97 seconds, which is the second fastest time in the nation. Poggi was second across the finish line with the 11th fastest time in the nation of 1:03.34.

- Sophomore Elinor Purrier (Montgomery, Vt.) set a nation-best time in the mile with a school record of 4 minutes, 29.71 seconds at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational.
- At Maine, the Wildcats were led by sophomore Emily Wernig (Gilford, N.H.) who recorded a personal record toss in the weight throw (51 feet, 6.25 inches).

- The UNH men's cross country team ended the 2015 season with a 30th-place finish at the NCAA Regional Championships held Nov. 13 at Franklin Park (Boston, Mass.).
- Sophomore Ryan Chiesa (Stockholm, N.J.) placed 118th in the 10K race with a time of 32 minutes, 52 seconds followed by junior Mitchell Dutton (Salem, N.H.) who collected 143rd place in 33:10.

- Senior Laura Rose Donegan (Melbourne, Australia) earned All-America honors at the NCAA Division I Women's Cross Country Championships on Nov. 20 with a 30th place finish in 20 minutes, 20.9 seconds in the 6K race. She also received the Elite 90 award for the highest grade point average of all the athletes at the NCAA Championships.
- Last year, Donegan earned her first All-America recognition at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships when she placed 10th in the 3K steeplechase.
- The Australian native holds a 4.0 GPA while studying political science. She was named the America East Cross Country Elite 18 winner at the conference championships (Oct. 31). She collected the same award at the 2015 America East Indoor Championships as well, for the highest GPA of the top finishers.
- The Elite 90 is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's championships. Donegan is the second UNH athlete to secure the honor, after Liz Guiney of women's skiing earned the award during the 2012-13 athletic season. There are 340+ cross country-sponsored programs by the NCAA at the Division I level.

- The UNH field hockey team was defeated 2-1 by University of the Pacific in an America East quarterfinal game at the University at Albany on Nov. 6. The Wildcats recorded a sizable advantage in both shots (27-7) and penalty corners (13-5).
- Prior to the start of the tournament, junior midfielder Lindsey Nerbonne (Bow, N.H.) and sophomore midfielder Gianna Bensaia (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) were named to the All-Conference First Team. Freshman forward Katie Audino (Severn, Md.) was an All-Rookie Team selection. Senior forward Meg Carroll (Mansfield, Mass.) and senior back Chandler Giese (Trappe, Pa.) were voted to the All-Academic Team.
- At the conclusion of the tournament, senior forward Meg Flatley (Townsend, Mass.) was named to the All-Championship Team.
- Flatley extended her goal streak to three games by scoring her 10th goal of the season and 52nd career goal when she gave the Wildcats a 1-0 lead at 23:07. That goal moved her into a tie for third on the program's career leaderboard with Hayley Rausch (2008-11). Flatley also climbed into No. 4 with 120 career points; that spot was previously held by Gaby Haroules (1977-80; 119 points).
- Nerbonne finished the season as the team leader in goals (12), game-winning goals (three), points (26) and shots (85).
- The end of the 2015 season marked the end of careers for Carroll, Flatley and Giese as well as classmates Emma Compagna (Canton, Mass.), Lynne Lehman (Landisburg, Pa.) and Taylor Rideout (Barrington, R.I.).

FOOTBALL (7-5 overall, 5-3 CAA)
- The UNH football team's impressive fourth-quarter comeback fell short in a 27-20 loss to Colgate University in an NCAA FCS first round game at Cowell Stadium on Nov. 28. The Wildcats have advanced to the NCAA postseason 12 consecutive years, which is the longest active streak in the nation.
- Junior defensive back Casey DeAndrade (East Bridgewater, Mass.), senior offensive lineman Austin Heter (McKees Rocks, Pa.) and junior tight end Jordan Powell (Forked River, N.J.) were named to the 2015 Division I All-New England Team by the New England Football Writers' Association.
- DeAndrade was named to the All-CAA Football First Team as both a cornerback and punt returner for the second consecutive year.
- Powell was also a First Team selection, while Heter was voted to the Second Team.
- Junior running back Dalton Crossan (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) received two accolades. He was named to the Third Team as a running back and kickoff returner.
- Senior captains Akil Anderson (Morristown, N.J.) and Jullian Turner (East Pittsburgh, Pa.) were Third Team honorees.
- Senior quarterback and captain Sean Goldrich (West Haven, Conn.) finished with career numbers of 654 completions on 1,068 attempts for 7,536 yards. On UNH's all-time leaderboard, those numbers rank No. 3 in completions, No. 5 in attempts and No. 5 in yards.

- The UNH men's soccer team fell in the America East quarterfinals by a score of 1-0 at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County on Nov. 7 to end the Wildcats' season.
- Junior co-captain Chris Wingate (Hovik, Norway) earned the America East Midfielder of the Year title as well as an All-Conference First Team spot while Fazal Nabi (Portland, Maine), Lukas Goerigk (Berlin, Germany) and Andrew Chaput (Manchester, N.H.) each earned All-Conference Second Team honors.
- Rookie Chris Arling (Windham, N.H.) was selected to the All-Rookie Team.

- The UNH women's soccer team saw its 2015 season come to an end in an America East quarterfinal game at the University of Maine on Oct. 29. The Wildcats and Black Bears battled to a 1-1 tie through the end of overtime, but Maine advanced 4-3 on penalty kicks at Mahaney Diamond.
- Senior Caroline Murray (New Canaan, Conn.) was named America East Midfielder of the Year and sophomore Brooke Murphy (Stow, Mass.) was named the America East Striker of the Year.
- Murphy and Murray were joined by senior captain Kirsten O'Neil (Hampton, N.H.) on the All-Conference First Team.

- The UNH volleyball team saw its 2015 season end Dec. 3 with a straight-set loss to 11th-ranked University of Florida in an NCAA first round match. The Wildcats advanced to the NCAAs for the third consecutive year by winning the America East tournament title for the third straight year.
- The set scores vs. the Gators were 25-15, 25-9, 25-15.
- New Hampshire's 21 wins is the most in program history since the 2003 season (23-12, 12-2 AE).
- The end of the 2015 season also marks the end of UNH volleyball careers for seniors Abby Brinkman (Brecksville, Ohio), Brenna Buckwalter (Evergreen, Colo.), Cassidy Croci (Sylvania, Ohio), Tori Forrest (Powder Springs, Ga.), Maggie Kenney (Merrimack, N.H.) and Madison Lightfoot (Clarkston, Mich.). The senior class propelled the Wildcats to a 76-47 record during its tenure in Durham.
- UNH earned the automatic berth into the NCAAs by capturing the America East Championship title on its home court for the third consecutive year. The Wildcats trumped Binghmaton, 3-1, in the semifinals and defeated University at Albany, 3-1, in the Nov. 21 title match.
- It marked the first-time in program history that UNH won the conference title three straight seasons.
- The America East bestowed UNH 13 postseason awards with juniors Demi Muses (Orangevale, Calif.) and Keelin Severtson (Delray Beach, Fla.) taking home the league's co-Player of the Year and Setter of the Year respectively.
- Forrest garnered First Team and All-Academic Team honors for the third straight season. Muses and Severtson joined Forrest on the All-Conference First Team. Lightfoot notched her second consecutive appearance on the All-Conference Second Team. Alongside Forrest, Croci and Brinkman merited All-Academic Team mentions. Following the conclusion of the tournament Forrest was named the America East Championships' Most Outstanding Player. Joining Forrest on the All-Championship Team were Lightfoot and Croci.
- Lightfoot finished her UNH career as the all-time leader in digs, tallying 1,657 in her four years.
- Forrest concluded her collegiate career second all-time in total attacks (4,129), fifth all-time in kills (1,264) and eighth in digs (1,054).
