DURHAM, N.H. – Senior forward Fazal Nabi (Portland, Maine) scored both goals as the University of New Hampshire men's soccer team defeated intrastate rival No. 24 Dartmouth College Tuesday night at Bremner Field.
The win bumps UNH up to 9-3-3 on the year while the Big Green fall to 8-4-1. Sophomore keeper Andrew Pesci (Windham, N.H.) made three saves in the match to earn the shutout win and improve his record to 2-0-0.

Nabi gave the Wildcats a 2-0 lead in the 63rd minute of play with his second goal of the game and fifth of the season. Nabi gained control of the ball in the Dartmouth box off a pass from junior Duff Thomson (Newton, N.H.), spun to his left and played an off balance shot to the right of a diving Hickok. Nabi played the ball around a defender that caused a screen on Hickok.

Rookie Chris Arling (Windham, N.H.) nearly got the Wildcats on the board with a diving header attempt in the 41st minute of play, but his bid went just left of the net. Senior Ben Ramin (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) played the ball to nearly the penalty kick marker that Arling connected with.
At the end of the first half, the Wildcats and Big Green were tied, 0-0. UNH outshot Dartmouth by a tally of 6-4 with each team getting one on net.
