Stephen Barnette, an all-conference player in the Colonial Athletic Conference while at Richmond, is joining the staff as wide receivers' coach. He most recently has been on the staff at Towson University.

Barnette was a standout wide receiver at Richmond. He led the CAA in receiving yards with 1,189 as a junior in 2013 and was tied with UNH's R.J. Harris, also a junior that year, in receptions with 76. Barnette's senior season ended with a knee injury after five games. Most recently, he was a quality control coach at Towson.
