DeAndrade is returning to the fold as the coach of the defensive backs – the position he exceled at as a player - after spending the last three seasons coaching at Holy Cross.
He was a four-year starter for the Wildcats and was a captain and named a first-team All American as a senior. He interned for a season at UNH in strength and conditioning and quality control, coached running backs for a year with the team and then coached at Holy Cross for the three seasons.
DeAndrade was a starter in the defensive backfield from the first game of his redshirt freshman season in 2013 and helped the Wildcats to some of their best years ever, including appearances in the NCAA FCS semifinals in 2013 and 2014.
The Wildcats went 12-2 overall and swept the Colonial Athletic Association with an 8-0 mark in 2014.
DeAndrade finished his career with nine interceptions and 285 tackles and ranked No. 1 on the team in tackles in 2017 and was in the top four in that category in each of his seasons.
UNH put together an overall record of 37-17 in his four seasons as a cornerback.
