Delainey McGovern, a student recruiting assistant with the University of New Hampshire football program, is one of 40 women from college football invited to attend the 10th annual NFL Women's Forum, presented by Amazon Web Services (AWS), during the NFL Combine in Indianapolis on Feb. 24.
The forum creates the opportunity to network with league executives, focusing on roles in scouting, coaching, data & analytics, and football operations to foster careers in professional football.
The forum also aims to build a pipeline for women into football operations, addressing the 450+ participants who have joined since 2017. Over 250 jobs have been created for women in football roles via this program since its inception.
By collaborating on the Women's Forum, the NFL and AWS aim to empower participants with the knowledge necessary to leverage data and analytics to optimize their impact on the game.
For the first time, the Forum will include a fireside chat with Indianapolis Colts owners and sisters Carlie Irsay-Gordon, Casey Foyt and Kalen Jackson, all representing a new generation of women in leadership. The chat will be moderated by sports media personality and Indianapolis Colts legend, Pat McAfee.
Additionally, a second panel discussion will take participants through the progress of women in football since the inception of the Women's Forum 10 years ago. This conversation will be led by NFL Network's Kimmi Chex and speakers will represent six different teams and three generations of women in football.
