Service Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Week: Hedda Martelleur and Jayden Buckrell

DURHAM, N.H. – Freshman Jayden Buckrell (Collingwood, Ontario) of the University of New Hampshire men's ski team and junior Hedda Martelleur (Uppsala, Sweden.) of the women's ski team were named the Service Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week on Feb. 3.
Jayden placed third in the slalom at the Saint Michael's Carnival with a time of 1 minute, 1:55.8 seconds, 47 points. This was also the first podium finish in his collegiate career
Jayden also performed well in the giant slalom finishing 10th with a time of 1:50.12, 30 points adding to his already impressive weekend.
Jayden was awarded this week's EISA Men's Alphine skier of the week award for his performance this past week. His pair of top ten efforts helped the Wildcats secure a second-place finish at the Saint Michael's Carnival.

Hedda captured first place in the slalom event with a time of 1:53.16, to earn 50 points and help propel the Wildcats into second place at the Saint Michael's Carnival.
Hedda also claimed fourth place in the women's giant slalom event with a time of 1:52.43, to add 40 points to the team total

The UNH ski team is back in action at the Dartmouth Carnival on Feb. 7-8. Alpine races will be held at Dartmouth Skiway, while Nordic events will take place at Oakhill Nordic Center.
