Wildcats return to the Whitt versus UConn on Nov. 21
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The University of New Hampshire men's hockey team fell to Union, 6-0, on Saturday evening at M&T Bank Center in non-conference action.
The Wildcats fall to 5-6-0, while the Garnet Chargers improve to 8-2-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- At 5:58 of the first period, Ben Muthersbaugh blasted a one-timer from the right faceoff circle to the back of the net to give Union a 1-0 lead with the power play goal.
- Union increased the lead to 2-0 at 18:02 as Muthersbaugh rocketed a slap shot to the upper stick corner of the net for his second goal of the contest.
- The Garnet Chargers went on a five-minute major power play at 2:58 of the second period and took advantage of it with two goals by Brandon Buhr to make it a 4-0 contest.
- Buhr then recorded the hat-trick with a goal on a penalty shot at 16:55.
- Parker Lindauer scored a shorthanded goal on a breakaway at 8:55 of the third period for the 6-0 final score.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Union outshot UNH, 28-24.
- The Garnet Chargers went 3-7 on the man-advantage and the Wildcats went 0-6.
- Senior goalie Kyle Chauvette (Goffstown, N.H.) posted 12 saves and senior goalie Jared Whale (Calgary, Alberta) tallied 11 saves, while Cameron Korpi made 24 saves for Union to earn the shutout and win.
