Durham, NH – Anna Magle-Haberek, Director of Cross Country and Track & Field, has announced the appointment of Alison Duffy as the new Assistant Coach for the University of New Hampshire's Track and Field and Cross Country team.
"We're excited to welcome Alison Duffy as our new assistant coach for women's distance. With extensive experience and a strong track record in coaching, Coach Duffy is set to bring fresh insights and inspiration to our team," Magle-Haberek said. "We're eager to see the positive impact she will have on our athletes and the program."
Duffy brings her impressive 28 years of experience coaching at both collegiate and high school levels. Throughout her distinguished career, she has guided multiple teams to league championships, mentored state champions, and developed national qualifiers.
Duffy's athletic achievements are equally remarkable. She set and held the national high school indoor high jump record for 34 years, qualified for the 1988 and 2000 Olympic Trials, and competed on the U.S. Women's World Cup Bobsled Team. Staying true to her active lifestyle, Duffy currently enjoys participating in triathlons and obstacle course races.
A graduate of the University of Michigan, Duffy was a competitive track and field athlete, specializing as a heptathlete. She earned a degree in economics while continuing to pursue her passion for music within the university's music program.
Originally from just outside Buffalo, NY, Duffy is also an avid Buffalo Bills fan.
The Wildcats begin their season at the Vermont Invite Saturday at noon.
