UNH Cross Country Announces 2024 Schedule

Wildcats opens its season on Saturday, August 31 at the Vermont Invite
DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's and women's Cross Country teams, led by second-year Director Anna Magle-Haberek, announced their schedules for the 2024 season.

UNH opens its season on Saturday, Aug. 31 at the Vermont Invite before taking a trip down to the Friar Invitational for the fourth straight season on Friday, Sept. 6.
The Wildcats open up a busy month of October on Saturday, Oct. 5 with a trip to Lehigh for the Paul Short Invitational where they will compete on the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course.
Championship season starts a week later on Saturday, Oct. 12 when the 'Cats travel down the road to Hopkinton, N.H. for the New England Championship. Last season, the men's team finished in third place (109 points) with an average time of 26:25 in the 8K race and the women's team finished in fourth place (132 points) with an average time of 19.19 in the 5K race.
On Friday, Oct. 25, the Wildcats take a break from the championship action as they will compete in the CCSU Mini-Meet. The women's team has taken home first place the last two times they competed in this event with a team score of 48 points in 2021 and a team score of 25 in 2019.
UNH will finish up October with the America East Championship in St. Albans, Vt. Last season, Jill Walker (Simi Valley, Calif.) led the women's team to a fifth-place finish with a time of 18:15.19, which placed eighth among 81 total runners. The men's team compiled a score of 94 to finish in third place thanks to the efforts of Aidan Shea (Amherst, Mass.) who placed 13th overall out of 82 runners.
November will mark the NCAA Regionals and NCAA Championships for qualifying runners. The Regionals will take place on Friday, Nov. 15 in Hopkinton, N.H., and the NCAA Championships will take place on Saturday, Nov. 23 in Madison, Wis.
