Men's Basketball Rounds Out 2024-25 Roster

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's basketball head coach, Nathan Davis, announced the addition of seven student-athletes to the 2024-25 roster.
The Wildcats have added Khalil Badru, Jawarie Hamelin, Emmanual Okpomo, Sami Pissis, Giancarlo Bastianoni, Anthony McComb III, and Dylan Saunders.
"I am very excited by the group of young men joining our program. They bring tremendous talent to our roster and will be great representatives of our program and university," Stated Head Coach Nathan Davis.
Emmanuel Okpomo is a 6'9" grad transfer forward/center from Nigeria. Most recently he played at Temple University. There he played in 45 games for the Owls. Prior to Temple, he played one season at Wake Forest University. While a Demon Deacon, he played in 14 games averaging 9.6 minutes per game and led the team in blocks with 11. Prior to college, Okpomo attended Oak Hill Academy which is a top high school program in the country.
Giancarlo Bastianoni is a native of the Dominican Republic and is a 6'7" forward. He has previously attended Presbyterian College and the University of North Georgia. In high school he was named Second Team All-Region in Georgia. In addition, Bastianoni played for the Dominican Republic National Team. While at North Georgia, he led his team to the Elite 8 of the Division II Championship.
Sami Pissis is a 6'3" point guard from Paris and won a National Championship with France in 2018. He most recently spent time playing at Chipola College. There he started 18 of 19 games and he averaged 12 points per game. Pissis ranked in the top 100 for National Juco Players. He was also a part of the nationally ranked Chipola College squad this past season (12th).
Anthony McComb III joins the Wildcats from Bowling Green State University as a 6'3" guard. McComb played 33 games with the Falcons. His senior year, he finished the season with career high 36 points and 5 steals. In high school at Thurgood Marshall, McComb led his team to two City League Champions and a District title. The Dayton, Ohio native is also a 1,000-point scorer for his high school team.
Jawarie Hamelin is a 6'2" point guard from Westerly, R.I. Hamelin joins UNH from Monroe College where the team recently went 23-8. He played in 53 games, starting 48 of them. In his junior year of high school, he averaged a triple double leading to being named First Team All-Division and First Team All-Conference.
Dylan Saunders joins the Wildcats from Iona University. The 6'8" Roanoke, Va.. native was named First Team All-State in high school and was in the state championship twice. In his one season at Iona, he played in all 21 games compiling 206 minutes.
Khalil Badru joins the Wildcats from the Newman School and is a 6'5" forward. Badru's sophomore year of high school he was named All-State in the state of Rhode Island. His senior year, he won the HoopGroup Championship in 2023 and was the leading scorer. In the classroom, Badru is a two-time honor roll student.
Men's basketball added two additional Wildcats last November, Caleb Middleton and Jon O'Neill.
