Wildcats record 10th sweep of the season
NEWARK, N.J. – The University of New Hampshire volleyball team defeated NJIT 3-0 on Sunday.
The set scores were 25-18, 25-20, 25-17.
Graduate Student outside hitter Hannah Serbousek (Fort Collins, Colo.) led UNH's attack with 12 kills and 13.5 points. She also recorded a team-high 17 digs. Sophomore middle blocker Rachel Grier (Dublin, Calif.) was next up with six kills and eight and a half points. UNH used two primary setters as sophomore Jessica Shattles (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) led the 'Cats with 24 assists and freshman Ellery Singleton (Menlo Park, Calif) recorded 14.

SET 1
- Graduate student middle blocker Kelly Kaufmann (Raleigh, N.C.) began the match with a kill to spark a dominant set for the Wildcats.
- UNH never trailed in this set that they won 25-18.
- Serbousek and senior right-side hitter Marisa Armer (Bradenton, Fla.) tallied three kills and a block.
- Set two was much more competitive as the score tied at one, two, three, four, six, and seven before NJIT came out to a 10-7 lead.
- A Kaufmann block, a junior right-side hitter Meredith Hohnbaum (Indianapolis, Ind) kill, among NJIT attack errors, gave the 'Cats a 12-11 lead.
- The score tied one more time at 12 before UNH exploded ahead with a 13-8 run to go up 2-0 in the match. A Hohnbaum kill put the cap on the set (25-20).
- The Wildcats started set three down 7-4 and continued to fight back up until they tied it at 11. The tying point was a kill from Serbousek.
- The score tied at 12, 13, and 14 before the 'Cats sprang ahead to go up 18-14. Singleton recorded an ace and Serbousek recorded a kill. (plus two NJIT attack errors).
- UNH went on a 7-3 run to close out the set with a redshirt sophomore middle blocker Krista Haake (Clarksville, Tenn.), and a junior outside hitter Millie Grove (Warrington, Pa.) block to win the match 3-0.

- Serbousek is 44 kills away from 1,000.
- Kaufmann is 44 points away from 1,000.
