Service Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week: Katie Taranto and Robyn Kelley

DURHAM, N.H. -- Senior Katie Taranto (Brewster, N.Y.) of the University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse team and senior Robyn Kelley (Wakefield, Mass.) of the UNH gymnastics team were named the Service Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week on March 20.

Katie Taranto aided the UNH women's lacrosse team to a 15-11 victory over UMass Lowell on Saturday (March 18) with her four goals and one assist performance. Katie opened her scoring at 11:05 of the first period with her 16th goal of the season, assisted from Liv Dunn, making the score 3-0 for the Wildcats. Katie went on to score three unassisted goals for the 'Cats. She tallied her lone assist in the fourth quarter capping her five-point game.

Katie currently leads the team in goals (19) and shots on goal (32), while also being second overall in points with 20.

The UNH women's lacrosse team returns back to Wildcat Stadium this Saturday against Binghamton at 1 p.m.

Robyn Kelley tied the highest balance beam score in EAGL Championship history and was named to the EAGL All-Tournament First Team on beam and Second Team on vault and floor exercise to highlight the UNH gymnastics team's fourth-place finish in the 2023 EAGL Championship, presented by Mass General Brigham Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, on Saturday (March 18) at the Whittemore Center.

Robyn matched all of her season highs at the EAGL Championships: 9.800 on the vault, 9.950 on the balance beam, and 9.825 on the floor exercise.

Robyn, along with teammates Kylie Gorgenyi and Alyssa Worthington, will be participating in the NCAA Norman Regional on March 30.
