Juodikis Named A Hockey East Third Team All-Star

AMESBURY, Mass. – Sophomore forward Kira Juodikis (LaSalle, Ontario) of the University of New Hampshire women's hockey team was named a 2022-23 Hockey East Third Team All-Star on Friday.
Juodikis has recorded 17 goals and 11 assists for 28 points in playing all 35 games this season. With those stats, she is tied for seventh in Hockey East in goals and ranks 12th in points. Juodikis is atop the UNH leaderboard with those 17 goals, she ranks second in points and is tied for third in assists. She also leads the Wildcats in both shots (107) and shooting percentage (.159). Her other stats include three game-winning goals and three power-play goals.
Juodikis has recorded a point in 16 of 35 game with seven multiple-point efforts. She has four multiple-goal games and that includes a career-high four goals in UNH's 7-4 win at College of the Holy Cross in which she scored all three of the game's third-period goals; the four points also marked a personal best.
Juodkis was named Hockey East Player of the Week twice during the season: Oct. 17 and Feb. 6. She was also named runner-up for Player of the Month in January.
Her two points helped lead UNH to Wednesday's 6-3 win in the Hockey East opening round against Holy Cross. Juodikis gave the Wildcats a 2-1 lead at 9:00 of the second period. Later that period, she had the primary assist on the goal that tied the game, 3-3, with 15 seconds on the clock. That goal sparked New Hampshire's game-ending 4-0 run.
Juodikis recorded a four-game point streak from Jan. 7-21 in which she tallied four goals and three assists for a total of seven points; she had both a three-game goal streak and three-game assist streak within that span of four games.
That four-game point streak was part of a stretch in which Juodikis recorded a point in 8 of 10 games (from Jan. 2 to Feb. 5) with totals of 11 goals and five assists for 16 points. She netted two game-winning goals – Jan. 29 at #14 UConn and Feb. 5 at Holy Cross – in that span; Juodikis' other game-winning tally was in overtime at Boston University on Oct. 15.
Last season, Juodikis was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team.
UNH is the eighth seed of the Hockey East Women's Tournament and advanced out of the opening round to face off against No. 2 seed and 11th-ranked University of Vermont in a Feb. 25 quarterfinal. Game time is 1 p.m. at UVM's Gutterson Fieldhouse.
