Wildcat Sports Network to broadcast 16 games for 2023-24 season
DURHAM, N.H. – UNH men's and women's basketball action returns to the Wildcat Sports Radio Network (WGIR 610-AM, WQSO 96.7 FM, Fox Sports 930 AM, iheart Radio App, Varsity App) with a 16-game package that kicks off on Sunday, Dec. 3 with the men's basketball team's 12 p.m. home game against Columbia.
Justin McIssac, a member of the Wildcat Sports Network since 2017 who just completed his first season as play-by-play voice of the UNH football team, will serve as the lead voice for men's basketball games. Emma Tiedemann, the Director of Broadcasting and play-by-play voice of the Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A Eastern League affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, joins the network as the new voice of the women's basketball team.
McIsaac is the Assistant Program Director for WGIR (610-AM, Manchester) and WQSO (96.7 FM, Portsmouth) and serves as the producer of New Hampshire Today (6 a.m. – 9 a.m., Monday-Friday) on News Radio 610 AM and 96.7 FM. Prior to joining the Wildcat Sports Network, he was the voice of high school sports on the Seacoast for many years. Before entering the world of broadcasting, McIsaac worked as a professional wrestler, performing in rings up and down the east coast.
"I'm thrilled to be calling UNH men's basketball on the radio," McIsaac said. "The Coach Davis Era of men's hoops is off to an exciting start, and I can't wait to bring that excitement to the airwaves!"
Tiedemann, just the fifth lead broadcaster in the Sea Dogs' 30-year history, has been with the Portland club since 2020. She previously spent two seasons as the Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations for the Lexington (Ky.) Legends, the Single-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, and as the voice of Morehead State University women's basketball on ESPN for two seasons. She has called games for the University of Missouri, University of New England, and worked as an in-studio host/producer for the Maine Celtics. Recently, Tiedemann was named a 40 Under 40 Honoree by Mainebiz.
"I am thrilled to be broadcasting University of New Hampshire women's basketball games on the radio," Tiedemann said. "UNH has been a staple in the America East Conference, and I am excited to bring their games to the airwaves, allowing even more fans to tune in."
Here is the full slate of scheduled broadcasts. Each game will be played at Lundholm Gym. Times/dates/opponents subject to change:
