Durham, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's basketball Played Dartmouth in a battle for Granite State bragging rights this Sunday in Lundholm Gymnasium. The game was incredibly close with the Wildcats falling to the big green.
The Wildcats' record is now 2-5 (0-0 AE) and Dartmouth's record improves to 2-2 (0-0 Ivy League).

- Junior guard Kenzie Matulonis (Raynham, Mass.) scored the first points of the game for the Wildcats with a deep two-pointer.
- Sophomore Guard Avery O'Connor (Dedham, Mass.) was the leading scorer for the 'Cats in the first period with four points.
- The 'Cats held a four-point lead at the end of the first.
- Junior guard Clara Gomez (Barcelona, Spain) scored for the Wildcats early in the second quarter off of an assist from sophomore guard Breezie Williams (Canton, Ohio)
- Matulonis drove into traffic scoring and getting to the line for an and-one off of an assist from senior guard Bella Stuart (Clifton Park, N.Y.)
- Dartmouth held a five-point lead going into halftime.
- The Wildcats struggled to score in the opening minutes of the second quarter. However, freshman guard Maggie Cavanaugh (Point Plesant Beach, N.J.) ended the drought with a three-pointer late in the third.
- Sophomore forward Lucia Melero Sabat (Barcelona, Spain) scored a buzzer-beater to bring the Wildcats within three points of Dartmouth.
- The fourth quarter was a back-and-forth battle between the two teams.
- Sophomore guard Karolina Andersson (Söderköping, Sweden) scored an early three for the 'Cats to tie up the game for the first time since the second quarter.
