Ella Guilfoil Named America East Swimmer of the Week

Guilfoil led the Wildcats versus Vermont in the season-opening win.
BOSTON – Sophomore Ella Guilfoil (Fairport, N.Y.) of the University of New Hampshire swimming and diving team has been named the America East Swimmer of the Week for her stellar performance in the 170-130 season-opening win at Vermont on Oct. 21.
Guilfoil had an outstanding meet as a triple winner taking the 100 back (57.72), 200 back (2:04.91) and 200 IM (2:08.35). She was also a member of the 200-medley relay winning team.
The Wildcats will return to action for the home-opener versus Central Connecticut on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 27-28 on Family, Friends & Faculty Weekend on AE.TV. Friday starts at 5 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m.
