DURHAM, N.H. & CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Two of New England's most tradition-rich football programs, the UNH Wildcats and the Harvard Crimson, announced Thursday an agreement to go head-to-head in a home-and-home series that brings the best of the Ivy League and the CAA together on the gridiron for the first time in 85 years.
On Oct. 5, 2024, UNH visits Harvard Stadium for a non-conference encounter. The return matchup at Wildcat Stadium is slated for Sept. 19, 2026.
"Renewing this series is important for the UNH football program and for New England college football at the FCS level," UNH head coach Rick Santos said. "We have a great deal of respect for coach Tim Murphy and the success he's built at Harvard, and we always embrace the challenge of facing strong competition."
UNH and Harvard have met just seven times in their history, and the last meeting was Nov. 18, 1939.
The 2022 Wildcats are focused on their season-opening Thursday Night Throwdown, presented by Dunkin', against the CAA's newest member, Monmouth University, on Sept. 1 starting at 7 p.m. in Wildcat Stadium. Season tickets, group tickets and individual game tickets are on sale at HERE or by calling 603-862-4000.
The Wildcats are going all-digital with ticketing in 2022. READ MORE HERE.
