Kyle Finnick (Dayton) and Pierce DeVaughn (UConn) have joined the Wildcats for next season
DURHAM, N.H. -- University of New Hampshire head football coach Rick Santos announced the signing of two transfer student-athletes on Monday morning, including defensive tackle Kyle Finnick (Simi Valley, Calif.) from the University of Dayton and defensive end Pierce DeVaughn (Plano, Texas) from UConn.
Finnick (6'1", 285-pounds) played his high school football at Bishop Alemany. Finnick is a transfer from Dayton where he started for the past three seasons compiling eight sacks and 75 tackles to lead Flyers. He was selected to the 2017 Blue/Green All-American Bowl.
What Coach Santos Says: "Kyle is an experienced interior D-lineman that has elite strength. His experience and physicality should make an immediate impact on an already impressive defensive front. He comes from Dayton where he was the anchor to a stout defensive front. His leadership and competitive edge are some of the many reasons we're so excited to add him to our team."

DeVaughn (6'4", 255 pounds) played his high school football at Prestonwood Christian. DeVaughn is a transfer from UConn where he saw action in each of his seasons with the Huskies. During his career, Pierce amassed 25 tackles and one sack. Pierce helped lead his high school to the 2017 TAAPS 6A State Championship.
What Coach Santos Says: "Pierce is an explosive, physically imposing young man. He comes to us we FBS experience and has elite quickness and a true knack of getting after opposing quarterbacks. He uses his size and length well and when not reaching the quarterback does a great job batting down passes. He will add depth and leadership to an already dynamic group."
