Kane Scores 16 in 54-43 Loss to NJIT

NEWARK, N.J. – Senior center Brooke Kane (Sanford, Maine) scored 16 points for the Wildcats as the University of New Hampshire women's basketball team dropped their conference opener to NJIT 54-43 on Thursday evening at the Wellness & Events Center in Newark.
Freshman guard Avery O'Connor (Dedham, Mass.) notched 12 points.
The Wildcats' record falls to 5-8 (0-1 AE) and NJIT's improves to 6-7 (1-0 AE).
