Freshman Lindsey Kriendler notched a team-high 11 kills in the losing effort
DURHAM, N.H. -- The University of New Hampshire volleyball team was downed in straight sets by Binghamton in America East play on Sunday afternoon at Lundholm Gymnasium. The set scores were 19-25, 22-25 and 20-25.
The Wildcats fall to 11-6 overall (1-1 AE), while Binghamton improves to 10-4 overall and 1-0 in America East action.
Freshman outside hitter Lindsey Kriendler (Houston, Texas) notched a team-best 11 kills, while classmate Kara Oxenknecht (Naperville, Ill.) added six kills in the losing effort for UNH.
Hannah Serbousek (Fort Collins, Colo.) and Meredith Dixon (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) each added five kills apiece. Junior libero Mia Pagliarini (Springboro, Ohio) registered a team-high nine digs.
Tsvetelina Ilieva and Guilia Bonafacio each totaled 15 kills apiece in the victory for the Bearcats.
The Wildcats amassed a team-best 13 kills and a .225 hitting percentage in the final frame.
UNH returns to action on Friday, October 7 at NJIT. Match time from the NJIT Wellness and Events Center is 7 p.m.
