Freshman Kara Oxenknecht notched a match-high 10 kills in the victory for UNH

DURHAM, N.H. -- The University of New Hampshire volleyball team earned a 3-0 victory against Stonehill on Wednesday night in non-conference play from Lundholm Gymnasium on Dig Pink Night. The set scores were 25-17, 25-19 and 25-10.
The Wildcats improve to 13-7 on the season, while the Skyhawks fall to 1-18 overall.
The 'Cats were led offensviely by freshman Kara Oxenknecht (Naperville, Ill.), who registered a match-high 10 kills, along with an impressive .692 hitting percentage. Freshman outside hitter Lindsey Kriendler (Houston, Texas) added six kills and hit at a .312 clip.
Junior libero Mia Pagliarini (Springboro, Ohio) amassed a match-high 15 digs in the victory and was a perfect 12-for-12 on serve receive.
UNH notched 15 kills in the opening and third frame with a team-best .583 hitting percentage in the third stanza.
Mia Berardino recorded nine kills in the losing effort for Stonehill.
UNH returns to action on Sunday, October 16 at Binghamton. Match time from West Gym is 1 p.m. on ESPN3.
