Wren Macaulay honored as America East Setter of the Week

Macaulay notched 112 assists on the weekend, for an average of 9.3 assists per set
BOSTON - Junior setter Wren Macaulay (Lake Orion, Mich.) of the University of New Hampshire volleyball team was named America East Setter of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning.
Macaulay registered 112 assists (9.3 aps) leading the Wildcats to a 2-1 record over the weekend in the Holly Young Invitational at Lundholm Gymnasium. Macaulay had a season-high 42 assists in the 3-1 win against Fairleigh Dickinson on Thursday night and followed that up with a near triple-double of 39 assists, seven kills and 10 digs in the win against Siena on Friday. She totaled 31 assists and 13 digs in the loss to Providence on Saturday afternoon in the Holly Young Invitational Championship Game. Macaulay was named to the Holly Young Invitational All-Tournament Team for her efforts over the weekend.
"We are extremely proud of Wren and her growth this season," said UNH head coach Christopher Feliciano. "She's done a really nice job in being a complete player."
Macaulay leads the team with 217 assists on the season for an average of 9.0 assists per frame, which ranks second among America East setters.
It marks the first time in her UNH career she has won AE Setter of the Week honors.
UNH returns to action on Wednesday, September 8th at Holy Cross. Match time from the Hart Center is 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
