According to the CDC, seven out of 10 N.H. counties meet its criteria for "substantial or high transmission." As a result, CDC recommends that everyone, vaccinated or unvaccinated, wear masks indoors in certain situations. Effective immediately, everyone at UNH, at all three campuses, will be required to wear a mask in the following indoor spaces:
On the Durham campus masks are strongly encouraged in places like Hamel Recreation Center, residence halls, the library and the MUB.

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire Department of Athletics announced that, in accordance with current CDC, State of New Hampshire, and University guidelines, the 2021-22 sports season will begin with no mask mandate, no physical distance requirements and no limit on gathering size for spectators at Wildcat home events.
Vaccinations are strongly encouraged for all people who are eligible, but state law prohibits making vaccination a requirement for admission. The University will continually monitor campus and regional data to ensure safety is the No. 1 priority for all members of the community. Any changes to attendance policy will be communicated via UNHWildcats.com and the UNH Wildcats social media channels.

"We cannot express enough just how excited we are to welcome our dedicated fans back to our contests, and we know our fan base is equally eager to return," said Marty Scarano, UNH director of athletics. "Attending games and cheering for the Wildcats is a much-needed outlet for people. We will continue to work closely with President Dean and University administrators to monitor conditions and adjust our spectator guidelines as necessary."
The UNH Athletics home calendar begins with a women's soccer match against Merrimack College on Thursday, Aug. 19 (6 p.m.) in Wildcat Stadium.
The Wildcat football team plays its home opener against Towson on Saturday, Sept. 11 (6 p.m.) at Wildcat Stadium. UNH football season tickets are on sale now by CLICKING HERE or calling 603-862-4000. Individual game tickets go on sale Monday, Aug. 16, starting at 10 a.m.

- Labs/offices and other indoor spaces where people will be close to one another for more than a few minutes
- Highly congested spaces and events
- Elevators when riding with other people
