'Cats Victorious vs. Stetson, 3-1 in Final Day of Play at Mercer Tournament

MACON, Ga. – The University of New Hampshire volleyball team earned its first victory of the season on Saturday afternoon against Stetson University, 3-1 in the final match of the Mercer Tournament at Hawkins Arena.
The set scores were 25-20, 13-25, 25-17, 25-22.
UNH improved its record to 1-2 on the season, while the Hatters dropped to 0-3 on the year.
Sophomore outside hitter Hannah Serbousek (Fort Collins, Colo.) tied a match-high with 12 kills to go along with a .400 hitting percentage in the victory for UNH.
Freshman middle blocker Nadia Goich (Homer Glen, Ill.) totaled a career-high six kills in her second collegiate match for the Wildcats.
UNH hit at over a .300 clip in the opening set and the fourth frame, which included a match-high 17 kills in the fourth set alone.
Alexis Thompson and Djokovic each registered 12 kills in the losing effort for Stetson.
The Wildcats return to action on Thursday, September 2 for the opening match of the Holly Young Invitational against Fairleigh Dickinson. Match time from Lundholm Gymnasium is 7 p.m. on AmericaEast.tv.
