Adara Groman tabbed as America East Rookie of the Week

Groman averaged 8.5 points per game in two losses at UMass Lowell
BOSTON— Freshman guard Adara Groman (Hopkinton, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire women's basketball team was named America East Rookie of the Week, which was announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Groman wins the award for the first time in her Wildcat career and it marks the first time this season a UNH women's basketball player has earned AE Rookie of the Week.
The 5-foot-8 guard registered 8.5 points per game and 1.5 assists in two losses over the weekend at UMass Lowell. Groman posted a team-high 12 points in the losing effort on Saturday against UMass Lowell at the Costello Athletic Center.
She has started 17 of 18 games for the Wildcats in 32.5 minutes of action per game, posting 6.7 points per game and 3.0 rebounds per contest in her first season in Durham. In her last three games for the Wildcats, she has amassed 9.7 points per game, which included two 12-point efforts.
Groman has notched double figures in points on four occasions so far this season for UNH.
The Wildcats return to action at the University of Maine on Saturday, February 20 in the America East play. Game time is 2 p.m. from Memorial Gym in Orono, Maine.
