Service Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week: Nicole Yeomans and Kevin McGrath

DURHAM, N.H. --Â Senior Nicole Yeomans (Foxborough, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire women's indoor track & field team and senior Kevin McGrath (Hopkinton, N.H.) of the UNH men's indoor track & field team were named the Service Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week on Monday, Dec. 13.

Yeomans won the one mile run with a time of 4 minutes, 57.58 seconds at the quad meet at Leverone Field House (Hanover, N.H.) versus Dartmouth College, University of Vermont and University of Maine on Dec. 11. Her time was converted to 4:54.67 because of the size of the track.
She was honored as the America East Track Performer of the Week on Dec. 13 in recognition of that performance.

Yeomans' time is the best in America East conference and third in the nation this season. Yeomans won bronze in the mile at the 2020 America East Indoor Championship with a time of 4:55.13.

The Wildcats return to action at the Sorlien Memorial Invitational at Mackal Field House in Kingston, R.I. on Saturday, Jan. 15.

McGrath won the high jump with a height of 6 feet, 8.75 inches, which tied his career best, at the quad meet at Leverone Field House (Hanover, N.H.) against Dartmouth College, the University of Vermont and University of Maine on Dec. 11.
McGrath was named the America East Field Performer of the Week on Dec. 13 for that performance.
His mark of 6-8.75 just missed the school record of 6-9. That height is the best in America East and 20th in the nation this season. McGrath won bronze at the 2020 America East Indoor Championship, also with a jump of 6'8.75".
