Wildcats fall at Northeastern in final meet of first half

Anna Metzler earned three victories for the Wildcats in the 200 free, 500 free and 200 IM
BOSTON - The University of New Hampshire women's swimming and diving team was defeated at Northeastern on Saturday by a score off 166-125 at Barletta Natatorium.
Senior Anna Metzler (Regensburg, Germany) continued her strong racing for the Wildcats, capturing first place in the 200 free (1:53.00), the 500 free (5:03.52) and the 200 IM (2:03.92).
Paige Edmier (Barltett, Ill.) picked up a victory with a time of 10:40.01 in the 1000 free, while freshman Maddie Fritz (Lansdale, Pa.) posted a time of 1:07.08 in the 100 breast, which was good for a first-place finish.
The relay team of Abby McKinney (Westfield, N.J.), Olivia Stille (Stockholm, Sweden), Chiara Pradissitto (Milan, Italy) and Cate Wardinski (Burke, Va.) earned the win in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:36.72.
The Wildcats return to the pool on Saturday, January 22 vs. UConn. Meet time from Swasey Pool is 1 p.m.
