BOSTON – Jakov Novak scored two goals for the Huskies as the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team fell to Northeastern, 4-1, on Saturday evening at Matthews Arena.
The Wildcats fall to 3-6-0 (1-4-0 Hockey East), while the Huskies improve to 7-3-0 (4-2-0 Hockey East).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- At 11:42 of the first period, Aidan McDonough fired a one timer from the right faceoff circle to the lower glove side of the net for a power play goal to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead.
- Northeastern increased the lead to 2-0 when Novak sent a backhander from the slot to the glove side after receiving a pass from behind the net by Jack Hughes at 4:22 of the second period.
- Novak then scored his second goal of the contest at 14:45 of the second period with a one-timer from in front of the net to the stick side to make it a 3-0 score.
- The Wildcats cut the lead to 3-1 at 7:56 of the third period when freshman forward Liam Devlin (Needham, Mass.) knocked in a rebound for his second goal of the season. Senior forward Eric MacAdams (Salem, Mass.) and freshman defenseman Colton Huard (Foothill Ranch, Calif.) each posted an assist on the goal.
- At 10:18, Jordan Harris found the back of the net to increase the lead to 4-1.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Senior goalie Mike Robinson (Bedford, N.H.) posted 18 saves, while Devon Levi tallied 34 to earn the win and improve to 7-3-0 on the season.
- UNH outshot Northeastern by a 35-22 margin.
- The Wildcats went 0-7 on the power play and the Huskies went 1-4.
