'Cats fall in regular-season finale at Hartford, 3-0 on Sunday

Abby Sullivan and Hannah Serbousek each notched 10 kills apiece in the losing effort
HARTFORD, Conn. – The University of New Hampshire volleyball team fell in the regular-season finale at Hartford on Sunday night at the Hartford Volleyball Gym. The set scores were 25-27, 20-25 and 15-25.
The Wildcats drop to 16-11 overall (7-5 AE) and finish in third place in the conference standings, while Hartford ends its season at 7-18 and 5-7 in America East play.
Sophomore outside hitter Hannah Serbousek (Fort Collins, Colo) and senior middle blocker Abby Sullivan (Methuen, Mass.) led the way offensively for the 'Cats with 10 kills apiece. Sullivan hit .400 for the match, while Serbousek hit at a .308 clip.
Junior setter Wren Macaulay (Lake Orion, Mich.) amassed 32 assists running the UNH offense, while freshman Ashleigh Nicoll (Holly Springs, N.C.) totaled a team-high nine digs in the losing effort for the Wildcats.
UNH totaled 19 kills in the first set and registered a .333 team hitting percentage in the second stanza.
Camryn Luginbuhl notched a match-high 14 kills in the win for the Hawks, while McKenna Reiswig tallied 11 kills.
No. 3 seeded UNH returns to action on Friday, November 19 for the America East Championship against No. 2 seed UAlbany in the semifinal round. Match time from the UMBC Events Center is 7 p.m. The teams split the season series with the Great Danes winning the most recent meeting (3-2) on October 31.
