UNH to play home-and-home series versus Providence on Oct. 29-30
DURHAM, N.H. – Chase Yoder and Kohen Olischefski each posted a goal for the Friars as the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team fell to No. 12 Providence, 2-0, on Sunday afternoon at the Whittemore Center.
The Wildcats fall to 2-3-0 (0-1-0 HEA) and the Friars improve to 5-2-0 (2-0-0 HEA).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Providence opened the scoring at 15:44 into the game after Jamie Engelbert sent a pass to Yoder, who roofed the backhand past senior goalie Mike Robinson (Bedford, N.H.) from just outside the crease. Cam McDonald also tallied an assist on the goal.
- The Friars extended their lead to 2-0 at 16:17 of the second period when Olischefski finished home a shot from the left circle as the puck went just under the bar. Brett Berard and Uula Ruikka posted assists on the goal.
- The third period went scoreless as Providence secured the win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Robinson made 22 saves and is now 2-2-0 this season, while Stauber posted 26 saves to earn the shutout and now stands at 5-2-0.
- UNH outshot Providence by a 26-24 margin.
- The Wildcats went 0-2 on the power play and the Friars finished 0-3.
- UNH led at the faceoff dot by a 36-20 margin.
