Wildcats finish off non-conference play with road victory at Saint Peter's

JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- The University of New Hampshire volleyball team earned a 3-0 road victory at Saint Peter's on Thursday night at the Yanitelli Center in the final non-conference match of the season. The set scores were 25-15, 25-14 and 25-18.
UNH improves to 12-9 overall with its third consecutive victory, while the Peacocks drop to 1-21 overall.
Sophomore outside hitter Hannah Serbousek (Fort Collins, Colo.) once again led the way for the 'Cats offensively with a match-high 11 kills, to go along with a .526 hitting percentage. Sophomore middle blocker Gabby Smith (Carmel, Ind.) chipped in with nine kills, while freshman Shea Purcell (Shaker Heights, Ohio) tallied six kills, which included the match-clinching kill for the Wildcats.
Setters Wren Macaulay (Lake Orion, Mich.) and Jamison White (Nashville, Tenn.) split time running UNH's offense with 24 and 14 assists, respectively.
Sophomore libero Mia Pagliarini (Springboro, Ohio) totaled a match-high 17 digs in UNH's 12th win of the season.
UNH hit at a .433 clip with 15 kills in each of the first two sets, followed by a .308 hitting percentage and 16 kills in the third frame.
Alanis Alvarado notched a team-high six kills for Saint Peter's in the losing effort.
The Wildcats return to action on Friday, October 22 at NJIT. Match time is 6 p.m. from the NJIT Wellness and Events Center.
