Q&A WITH HÉLÉNA

What is it like to represent France at UNH?
It's always a pleasure to represent France in another country and I feel proud to do so.
What are the differences between playing in France and at UNH?
I think the language barrier and how physical the play is on the court. The pace of the game is fast and there are certain rules that are different that you have to get used to.
What has been your most memorable sports experience at UNH so far?
I would say playing basketball and attending football games.
Does your family ever get to watch you play? If so, what does that mean to you?
Yes my family watches all my games. Last year they got lucky before COVID-19 and saw a couple games live and it was so nice. It means a lot to me that my family watches me play because it's nice that the people that you love the most are supporting you no matter where and how.
What are some of your favorite things about living in New Hampshire?
It's a pretty state and people are very nice. I like that you have the beach and even mountains so you can do everything you want in the summer and winter.

Q&A WITH FILIP

What is it like to represent Sweden at UNH?
I really enjoy being here at UNH and representing Sweden. It's not a huge country, and it's fun and pretty special to have many other Swedes here at UNH representing Sweden together.
What has been your most memorable sports experience at UNH so far?
I would say scoring my first collegiate goal over in Northern Ireland is the most memorable moment so far. Both my mom and dad had the chance to travel over there and see it from the stands, so sharing that moment with them was very special.
How did it feel to get drafted by the Oilers?
It's a huge honor the Oilers picked me. I'm obviously super excited and it gave me a huge motivation boost. It triggered me to put in even more work and time to try and get better every day.
When did you start playing hockey? Was it always a goal to play in the United States?
I started playing hockey when I was around seven years old. I fell in love with it right away the first time I went on the ice. Playing here in the United States has been something that I've always had in the back of my head thinking of growing up. When I got the opportunity to go to UNH there was no doubt making the decision.
What is your favorite thing to do when not playing hockey?
I really enjoy playing tennis and golf in the summer and on off days I like to spend time with my friends and just hang out and relax.
