UNH wins eight events.
DURHAM, N.H. – The Wildcats won eight of the 16 events as the meet went down to the final relay but Northeastern was able to edge out the University of New Hampshire swimming and diving team, 152-148, in a thriller on Saturday at Swasey Pool. The Wildcats fall to to 2-1 on the season, while the Huskies are now 2-2. UNH has won 38 of the 48 events over the first three meets.
With the result of the 400 free relay determining the winner of the meet, the Huskies posted a time of 3:28.94, while the Wildcats recorded a time of 3:33.89.
UNH was led by senior Corinne Carbone (Medway, Mass.), sophomore Anna Metzler (Regensburg, Germany) and freshman Jamy Lum (Honolulu, Hawaii) who each won two individual events.

RESULTS
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Carbone won the 1000 free (10:29.39) and the 200 fly (2:06.89), while Metzler captured the 200 back (2:01.71) and 200 IM (2:07.61).
- Lum was also strong as she took first place in the 100 breast (1:05.19) and in the 200 breast (2:21.13).
- Junior Melissa Dingle (Brighton, Ontario) and freshman Audrey Tirrell (Gaithersburg, Md.) each won an event. Dingle earned the win with a time of 57.20 in the 100 back and Tirrell placed first in the 500 free with a time of 5:04.59.
