Sullivan Records Career-High 16 Kills in 3-0 Loss to UMBC

Emily Tanski Climbs to No. 2 on UNH's Career Digs List
DURHAM, N.H. – Abby Sullivan (Methuen, Mass.) recorded a career-high 16 kills but the University of New Hampshire volleyball team was defeated 3-0 by UMBC at Lundholm Gym on Friday night. The set scores were 27-25, 25-22, 25-17.
Sullivan finished with 16 kills on a .281 hitting percentage; she also had one solo block and two assisted blocks to finish with a personal best of 18 points.
Emily Tanski (Plymouth, Mich.) recorded a team-high 17 digs to move into No. 2 on UNH's career digs leaderboard with 1,407.
UNH is now 14-6 overall and 4-2 in America East. UMBC improved to 5-15, 2-5.

•Tanski surpassed Jen Williams (1,398) into second place on the UNH career digs list. Madison Lightfoot holds the record of 1,657.

•The Wildcats inched back in front, 11-10, before the Retrievers won five consecutive points to build a 15-11 advantage.
•The 'Cats responded with a 5-0 run to regain the lead, 16-15.
•UNH fended off three set points but UMBC converted the fourth chance to win the set, 27-25.

•There were six ties and three lead changes in the second set.
•Trailing 4-3, the visitors reeled off eight consecutive points to surge in front, 11-4.
•UNH faced a 17-10 deficit before going on a 6-0 spurt to close within one point, and the 'Cats continued forward to take a 19-18 lead.
•UMBC responded with four consecutive points to go back ahead, 22-19.
•The Wildcats staved off one set point but succumbed on the next point.
