DURHAM, N.H. – Hannah Petke (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) led five Wildcats in double-digit kills with 14 to propel the University of New Hampshire volleyball team to Sunday' afternoon's 3-2 victory against the University at Albany in Lundholm Gym. The set scores were 25-20, 24-26, 25-21, 22-25, 15-8.

Petke, one of five UNH seniors honored prior to the Senior Day matchup, tallied 14 kills on a .345 hitting percentage; she also had five assisted blocks to finish with 16.5 points.

UNH is now 15-7 overall and 5-2 in America East. UAlbany, which entered the match on a nine-match winning streak, is 11-10, 6-1.

UNH returns to action Nov. 8 (6 p.m.) at Binghamton University for an America East matchup.

STAT LEADERS

Abby Sullivan (Methuen, Mass.) and Erin Hedrick (Montvale, N.J.) both recorded 14.5 points. Sullivan finished with 11 kills (.241 hitting percentage) and seven blocks, all assisted. Hedrick tallied 12 kills (.286 hitting percentage) and five blocks, all assisted.
Kennedi Smith (The Woodlands, Texas) had 11 kills and three assisted blocks for 12.5 points.
Katie Jablonski (Elburn, Ill.) was credited with 10 kills and two blocks (one solo) for 11.5 points.
Wren Macaulay (Lake Orion, Michigan) and Emma Patlovich (Lake Forest, Ill.) recorded 26 and 24 assists, respectively, to lead UNH to a .226 hitting percentage. The 26 assists marked a career high for Macaulay.

•Emily Tanski (Plymouth, Michigan) finished with a team-high 14 digs and three service aces.
•Bre Smith (Boonville, Mo.) was an imposing presence at the net with a personal-best eight blocks (one solo, seven assisted).

SENIOR DAY
•The five seniors honored pre-match were Petke, Tanski, Kennedi Smith, Jenny Weston (Canton, Mass.) and Logan Welti (Middleton, Wis.).
•Welti finished with two service aces and nine digs.
•Weston tallied one ace and two digs.

•New Hampshire is 4-0 in five-set matches this season.
•UNH has won the first set in 16 of 22 matches.
•Tanski is No. 2 on UNH's career digs list with 1,421. Madison Lightfoot holds the record of 1,657.
•Kennedi Smith is No. 9 in career kills (1,020); ahead of her is No. 8 Kirsten Bates (1,028).
•Smith is No. 10 in career points 1,201.5; Demi Muses is No. 9 with 1,202.
•The Wildcats have a 22-25 lifetime record against UAlbany. The Great Danes had won each of the previous five meetings.

•There were three tie scores and two lead changes in the first set.
•UNH won the first two points of the match and took an early 6-3 lead.
•Trailing 12-10, UAlbany rallied to take its first lead with a 13-12 edge.
•The Wildcats responded with a 3-0 run to regain the lead, 15-13.
•UNH ahead to take build an 18-14 advantage.
•UAlbany rallied to close within one, 18-17, before UNH went on a 5-1 spurt.
•The 'Cats won the set, 25-20, on a kill by Petke.

SET 2
•There was one tie and one lead change in the second set.
•UNH jumped out to a 3-0 lead and held the visitors at arm's length with leads of 13-8 and 16-10.
•The Great Danes trimmed the deficit to 17-15 before UNH went on a 7-4 run to advance the score to set point, 24-19
•UAlbany responded by fighting off four set points as part of a 7-0 run as the Great Danes rallied to win the set, 26-24.

SET 3
•There were seven tie scores and five lead changes in the third set.
•UAlbany opened the third set with a 3-0 lead.
•Trailing 10-9, UNH won four consecutive points for a 13-10 advantage.
•The visitors regained the lead at 18-16.
•After going back and forth a majority of the third set, UNH went on a 6-0 run to build a 23-19 lead.
•The teams exchanged points, then Sullivan's kill ended the set in UNH's favor, 25-21.

SET 4

There were eight ties but just one lead changes in the fourth set.
UNH held an early 5-1 lead and, after the Great Danes forged a 5-5 tie, won four consecutive points to surge ahead 9-5.
UAlbany responded with a 4-0 run of its own for a 9-9 tie.
Back-and-forth between the teams advanced the score to 17-17, at which point the Great Danes inched ahead 20-17.
New Hampshire pulled within one point at 22-21 and 23-22, but then the visitors won consecutive points to force a decisive set.

SET 5

There were no ties or lead changes in the fifth set after Sullivan tallied kills on the first two points.
UNH took a 3-0 lead and extended the margin to 7-1.
Leading 9-4, the 'Cats went on a 5-1 run to close within match point.
Another kill by Sullivan ended the set and match, 15-8, in favor of New Hampshire.
The 'Cats recorded a .353 hitting percentage in the fifth set and held UAlbany to a .105 mark.
