GAME RECAP
- BU recorded a 17-4 shot advantage in the first period but UNH took a 2-1 lead into the first intermission on unassisted goals by Toews and Pelletier.
- Toews gave the Wildcats a 1-0 lead at 5:40 when she gained possession along the right boards in the neutral zone and cut diagonally through the circle before scoring from close range.
- Maddie Elia tied the score, 1-1, at 12:07 by winning a faceoff to Cashin's left and powering a shot into the net.
- Pelletier put UNH back in front, 2-1, at 17:31. She pinched along the boards at the right point to keep the puck in the offensive zone, then sped past two BU skaters toward the cage and she lifted a shot into the upper-right corner.
- Schlagel netted a power-play goal at 3:45 of the second period to extend the advantage to 3-1. Jonna Curtis (Elk River, Minn.) initiated the scoring sequence with a pass through the neutral zone to Schlagel, who received a return pass from Pelletier and blasted a shot past Hanson.
- BU once again made it a one-goal differential on Rebecca Leslie's power-play tally at 18:27.
- The Terriers tied the score, 3-3, at 5:38 when Alexis Crossley's shot from the slot ricocheted off a UNH skater inside the left post.
- Boston U. took its first lead of the series, 4-3, on Samantha Sutherland's shorthanded goal at 8:14. Sutherland advanced down the slot and snapped a shot into the upper-left corner.
- New Hampshire went on its sixth power play of the game at 15:24 and a screened shot by Tori Howran (Bancroft, Ontario) went into the cage at 17:23, but after review the referees waved off the goal because of goaltender advantage and the score remained 4-3 in favor of the home team.
- UNH pulled Cashin with 90 seconds remaining but recorded just one shot on goal the rest of the way, and that was from center ice with two seconds on the clock.
