NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Iba Camara (Dakar, Senegal) recorded 15 points and a game-high 17 rebounds but the University of New Hampshire men's basketball team was defeated 77-63 by Utah State University in Saturday afternoon's PK80 presented by State Farm game at Nashville Municipal Auditorium.

It is the third double-double of the season and 19^th career for Camara, who made 7 of 12 field goals and also had two steals in 31 minutes.

Jordan Reed (Lucas, Texas) came off the bench to score a team-high 16 points; he shot 5-for-9 from the floor, including 4 of 7 from 3-point range.

Elijah Jordan (Orlando, Fla.), the reigning America East Rookie of the Week, recorded a career-high 10 assists.

USU was led by Sam Merrill (20p) and DeAngelo Isby (16p, 7r, 5a).

UNH is now 1-5 overall and Utah State is 4-3.

THE DIFFERENCE

Utah State opened the game with an 11-0 run before Reed hit a 3-pointer at 13:31. The Aggies extended the lead to 20 points, 30-13, with 4:12 remaining in the first half and UNH never got closer than 13 points the rest of the way.

GAME RECAP

UNH was scoreless its first 10 possessions of the game with six missed field goals and five turnovers. That allowed Utah State to slowly build an 11-0 lead.
After Reed's 3-pointer put the 'Cats in the scoring column, Tanner Leissner (Converse, Texas; 15p, 6r) connected from beyond the arc on the next possession to trim the deficit to 13-6.
USU went on a 6-0 run to build a 19-6 lead midway through the half.
Leissner's jumper lifted New Hampshire within 22-13 at 6:51, but the Aggies scored 11 consecutive points to extend the advantage to 33-13 at 4:12.
A pair of free throws by Jordan and Leissner's 3-pointer keyed a 7-0 run that pulled the 'Cats within 33-20 at 3:02. Reed's 3-pointer with 53 seconds on the clock closed the first half scoring at 39-25.
Utah State inched ahead, 47-27, two minutes into the second half.
The Aggies led by as many as 25 points – 77-52 at 2:52 – before UNH closed the game on an 11-0 run that consisted of a Camara layup and 3's by Reed, Josh Hopkins (Greensboro, N.C.) and Leissner.

UNH NOTEBOOK

It was the 31^st career double-digit rebound game for Camara, and the most rebounds by any Wildcat since his 18-rebound effort at Maine (Jan. 18, 2016).
Camara is No. 4 on the program's career rebound leaderboard with 744.
Prior to Jordan's 10 assists vs. Utah State, the last time a Wildcat recorded double figures in assists was Nov. 11, 2016 (10 by Jaleen Smith vs. Lesley).
Leissner is No. 5 on UNH's career scoring leaderboard with 1,494 points.
This enters the record book as the first meeting between New Hampshire and Utah State.
The Aggies made 16 of 20 foul shots in comparison to UNH's 9-for-10 and recorded a 34-31 edge on the glass.
New Hampshire shot 10 of 25 (40%) from 3-point range. It is the second time this year the Wildcats made 10 3's in a game.
