Haslett’s Two Goals Earns 4-2 Win in Weekend Sweep of Merrimack

DURHAM, N.H. – Junior Kate Haslett (Rothesay, New Brunswick) of the University of New Hampshire women's hockey team scored two goals to lead the team to a 4-2 win over Merrimack College Saturday night at the Whittemore Center.

GAME RECAP
Just about 30 seconds following a Merrimack power play goal, Haslett grabbed a loose Warrior pass and finished top right from between the circles, 11:36 into the game. New Hampshire scored the next four goals. Haslett notched another at 18:54 of the first period on a quick wrist shot off a deflection off a Warrior defender. The tally closed out the half.
The second period scoring started in the seventh minute as Dunbar scored her third on the season on a tip in in front from a fancy pass from Turner. That was the lone mark in the second period.
Taylor scored just 4:45 into the final period on a feed from behind the net by Praus to push the Wildcat lead to 3-1. With three minutes left in the game, Merrimack scored to reduce the deficit to two, and the final score.
