Crossan Scores 2 TDs, But 'Cats Ousted by JMU

UNH was eliminated from the NCAA Division I FCS tournament with the loss and finished the season with an 8-5 record.
The Wildcats were competing in the FCS playoffs for a nation's-best 13th straight season. They won their first-round game against Lehigh, 64-21, last Saturday in Wildcat Stadium to earn the shot against JMU in the second round.
James Madison improves to 11-1 overall and advances to the quarterfinal round. The Dukes won the Colonial Athletic Association regular season title with an 8-0 record.
JMU junior quarterback Bryan Schor passed for 371 yards and five touchdowns.
COMING UP
- UNH's 13th straight season of competing in the FCS playoffs ended with the setback.
- James Madison advances to the tournament quarterfinals.
- The Dukes will play the winner of Saturday's Sam Houston State vs. Chattanooga game.
1st QUARTER
- Senior defensive end Cam Shorey (Calais, Maine) intercepted a pass to end JMU's second possession early.
- He jumped to deflect the ball and made a nice play to catch the ball and set UNH up on the JMU 16-yard line.
- Crossan ripped off a 15-yard run and then scored on a 1-yard run and UNH led 7-0.
- The Dukes drove to a first down on the UNH 3-yard line and the Wildcats held and allowed only an 18-yard field goal.
2ND QUARTER
- The Dukes outscored UNH 28-0 in the period to grab a 31-7 lead at the half.
- JMU passed for four touchdowns in the quarter.
- Quarterback Bryan Schor passed for three TDs.
- Wide receiver Rashard Davis completed a 37-yard option pass to Brandon Ravenel for the other score.
- It was one of two Ravenel TD receptions in the period.
- Terrence Alls and Jonathan Kloosterman caught the other scoring passes.
- Senior Casey DeAndrade (East Bridgewater, Mass.) fumbled a punt and that set up the third JMU touchdown in the period.
3RD QUARTER
- The Wildcats drove down the field on the opening possession of the second half to a Crossan 14-yard TD run.
- Knight passed to Crossan for a two-point conversion and it was 31-15.
- The Dukes answered with three more touchdowns.
- Ravenel returned the kickoff after the Crossan score 86 yards for a TD.
- Alls then scored his second touchdown on a 14-yard pass from Schor.
- Schor connected with Kloosterman for his fifth TD pass with 20 seconds left in the period.
4TH QUARTER
- Senior quarterback Adam Riese (Hamilton, N.J.) closed out the scoring with an 11-yard touchdown run with 20 seconds left in the game.
- JMU's Tyler Gray kicked a 31-yard FG for the only other points in the period.

- UNH finished with 268 yards of total offense.
- The Wildcats had 125 yards rushing and 143 yards passing.
- JMU had 567 yards of offense, 159 rushing and 408 passing.
- Crossan carried 15 times for 92 yards and the two scores.
- He finished the season with 1,281 yards, the sixth best UNH single season total ever.
- Crossan had 2,617 rushing yards for his career.
