Baykova Gets Two First-Place Finishes against Northeastern and JMU

Results vs. Northeastern/JMU

BOSTON – Junior Liza Baykova (Moscow, Russia) collected a pair of top podium finishes in a tri-meet against host Northeastern University and James Madison University Saturday afternoon.

The junior tagged the wall first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of one minute, 51.72 seconds, more than one second faster than the next finisher. She also took the top spot in the 100-yard freestyle when she clocked in with a time of 52.14.

'Cat Facts:

Baykova took first place in the 100-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle for the second consecutive meet.
The Wildcats are home for the first time this season on Friday, Oct. 28 with day one of a two-day competition against Central Connecticut State University. The event begins at 4:30 p.m.
Day two of the competition is on Saturday, Oct. 29 and starts at 11:30 a.m.

Next Meet:
The Wildcats travel to Northeastern University for a tri-meet against the Huskies and James Madison University at Barletta Natatorium on Saturday, Oct. 21. The event starts at 12 p.m.
