Josh Needle

Assistant Coach

Josh Needle, who played collegiately at Potsdam State, brings 18 years of coaching experience to the UNH women’s soccer program as an assistant coach. He has coached various ages from U9 through U18 at the club level, in the WPSL (women’s professional) for seven years and in UPSL (men’s semi-professional) the past year.

Needle has coached for Seacoast United since 2009 with five state titles and five state runner-up finishes, in addition to six NEP divisional championships. He was named Seacoast Coach of the Year for the 2020-21 season.

He also served as the Director of the Seacoast Junior Academy from 2009-17 and has been a club coaching evaluator since 2018.

Needle has a United State Soccer Federation A License and has been a USSF certified coaching instructor since 2011.

He is originally from the Albany, N.Y. area and now lives in Scarborough, Maine. He has been a teacher in the Scarborough school district since 1998.
