David Williams is currently in his 11th season as the goalkeeper coach in 2025.
Williams has been a member of the America East Staff of the Year six times (2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 & 2023), Northeast Region Staff of the Year three times (2019, 2021 & 2023) and Eastern Region Staff of the Year once (2017).
Throughout his career at UNH and SNHU, he has coached three All-American keepers, six All-Region keepers and 10 All-Conference keepers.
The keepers coached by Williams are consistently in the top 10 nationally for the most shutouts and the lowest goals against average. Collectively the keepers under his tutelage have appeared in a total of 13 Division 1 and Division 2 NCAA Tournaments with seven Sweet Sixteen berths, two round of eight berths and one Division 2 Final Four and National Championship.

Williams graduated from Cornell University in 1993 and was a four-year starting keeper and two-year captain for the Big Red and is still ranked third all-time for career saves. While at Cornell he played for and coached one season with former Chicago Fire and US Men’s National Team first assistant and interim head coach Dave Sarachan.
Upon graduating Williams played professionally for the San Diego Top Guns in the U.S.I.S.L. and for the Colorado Foxes of the ASL and A-League. Williams has coached U-13, U-16 and U-17 premier club players in San Diego and New Hampshire.
After a catastrophic knee injury cut Williams’ career short, he worked in sales, marketing and operations, ultimately coming to New Hampshire to be the director of operations for a manufacturing company. Williams decided to leave his corporate position, work as an independent consultant and vest himself in developing and getting the most out of the keepers that serve as the last line of defense for consistently hard working, high quality and winning teams.
Williams is originally from Colorado and has lived in Rye, N.H. for the past 20 years with his wife Kate, daughter Kamara and son Kai.
