Kim Orso rejoined the UNH Department of Athletics as the Special Assistant to the Athletic Director on Jan. 31, 2022.
Kim returned to Durham following a stint as the Senior Associate Director, Friends of Athletics Fundraising, at Colby College from August 2020-January 2022.
Orso previously worked in the UNH athletic department as the Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions from September 2016-August 2020. In that role, her primary focus was leading the strategy for an aggressive effort to increase UNH Athletics brand awareness, driving gameday attendance, and enhancing the experience of attending Wildcat athletic events.
The seasoned marketing and project management professional has spent nearly three decades executing various aspects of strategic marketing plans, including account planning, media relations, speaking opportunities, collateral development, writing and copy editing. She is also highly skilled at implementing processes and managing resources.

Previously, Kim served as a category launch manager at Performance Sports Group in Exeter, N.H. While there, she developed strategic product launch plans in coordination with sales and marketing, as well as research and development to meet financial goals for a leading brand in the baseball and softball market. Her other key contributions included consumer and market research, competitive differentiation, and margin analysis to help drive product innovation, as well as sales and marketing strategy.

Prior to that, Orso spent nearly 13 years at an esteemed public relations firm, Beaupre & Co. Public Relations (Portsmouth, N.H.), now Brodeur Partners. She started as an account coordinator before making the transition to director of Speakers Bureau, which secured more than 1,000 speaking engagements for technology and Fortune 500 clients enabling them to become more visible among peers, potential customers, media, industry analysts and the financial community.
Kim's marketing background also includes work as a marketing manager for PennWell Publishing (Nashua, N.H.).

Orso earned a bachelor of arts degree in Education at Colgate University in 1993. She was a four-year letterwinner on the Raiders’ softball team and was team captain in 1993, when she was named to the All-Patriot League Team, as well as the Patriot League Academic Achievement Honor Roll.
